Gmarket Haul #2 Preview
I made another order on Gmarket (Click here for my first Gmarket haul!) the other night and I wanted to share a sneak preview of what I'll be getting in a week (hopefully). My last haul was summer clothes oriented, while this time it is more fall appropriate clothes with some skincare/cosmetics thrown in as well. I can't wait to receive all this in the mail :3
Cute Stationary!
Recently, I randomly came across these sticky tabs at Superstore (of all places) and I immediately had to pick it up since it was only $2. I remember seeing something similar on an Asian stationary website, although I can no longer recall the URL of the page. Now the only question I have is, what type animal or thing are these suppose to be? Ninja cats? Or maybe bears? In any case, they are uber cute and I can't wait to use them :)
My First Gmarket Haul!
My first experience with ordering korean clothing online was from zipia.com three years ago, which was rather expensive because of shipping and the minimum order of $300. Since then, I became interested in ordering from Gmarket because of the cheap prices you can find. Another plus is that there is no minimum amount you have to spend, although buying in bulk is more worth your money in terms of the shipping cost.
So at the beginning of June, I finally decided to make my very first purchase on Gmarket after about a week of browsing through many stores and comparing prices. My package arrived at the door about a week and a half later and much to my pleasure, I wasn't charged any customs or duties!
In this haul, I made a purchase of 14 items for $148 CAD and shipping was $32 CAD. This comes out to about $13 per item, which isn't bad at all.

This trendy peter pan collared lace top is super cute and is one of my favorite pieces from this haul. I like that it has a silky slip underneath the lace.

I would say this is a top rather than a dress even though it hits right below the butt. Since the material is sheer, shorts must be worn underneath. There are two ways to wear this; the first method is shown in the picture above, while the second method creates a cute look where the top looks like a cape (Click to see!). I really like this top because it is so versatile and it is quite easy to dress it up or down.

I got the same top from above in a light beige colour as well! After seeing both in person, I would say the black version is nicer because you can't see that "collar" from the inside of the neckline in the black version whereas it is very noticeable in the beige one.

After trying this dress on, I realized that the long length of the dress was not a very flattering cut. I think I will have to get this hemmed but otherwise, this is a great casual dress for everyday wear.

This simple tee is made of a thin cotton material in the front and a sheer material in the back, making it the perfect top to keep you cool on hot summer days. I also like the high-low hem; it is definitely a trend that has been everywhere lately!

This is probably one of the pieces that I liked the least from my haul. I mostly do not like the material that the top is made of because it wrinkles very easily, especially the sleeves. I probably wouldn't have gotten this if I had known this.

I ordered two tops from this shop, which sells a brand called "Mak Maks". I will most likely repurchase from this brand again in the future because their items are very well made. This long sleeve blouse is also more opaque despite its thin and light weight material.

This top is also from the brand Mak Maks. I love the bold royal blue colour and the quality of the shirt is probably the best out of all the tops I purchased.

Apologies for the unfocused and slightly blurry picture ^^". This top is more opaque so you could get away with not wearing a tank top underneath without revealing your bra.

The quality of this top isn't as good compared to the other sleeveless tops and it is a good idea to reinforce the buttons on this. Other than that, this top goes with black leggings perfectly because of its longer length.

Since these are a pair of simple, high waisted shorts, it can easily be paired with any top. Unfortunately, these bottoms are a bit loose on me so they sit on my hips rather than my waist.

From the front, it may look like a skirt but from the back, you can tell they are actually shorts. These shorts are a darker shade of beige in person, which I didn't expect based on the pictures provided by the shop. I will also have to iron the shorts to fix the pleating on the right side before wearing them out. Other than that, I think the design is really girly and cute.

This is another "skort" that I bought that will require some ironing, as you may be able to tell by looking at the right side of the shorts. These are a little small for me unless I wear them super high waisted.

Overall, I am very pleased with my very first purchase from Gmarket. Most of the items are of good quality for a relatively cheap price. For my next purchase, I am either going to make another clothing haul or possibly a skincare/make up haul ^^
